The new Upper Beaconsfield GP Practice was officially opened by Member for Gembrook Brad Battin and doctors Puneet and Anshu Malhotra on March 1.
The opening of the clinic is exciting for residents who have not had a GP practice in Upper Beaconsfield for a number of years.
The husband and wife are joined by a team of locals providing a number of services beyond general medical practice including skin checks, iron infusions as well as a nurse available on Saturdays.
Despite raising their young family in neighbouring Berwick, Dr Puneet and Anshu have been welcomed into the community with open arms.
“This is a service the community have been requesting for a long time and everyone is very excited to see the clinic’s doors open,” Mr Battin said.
“Dr Puneet and Anshu and their staff are a warm and welcoming team and I look forward to seeing their practice grow.”
The practice is working with the Upper Beaconsfield Pharmacy who are right next door and have plans to connect the two buildings so patients will have direct access to both facilities.
“As the community of Upper Beaconsfield grows, this service will be a great assistance with local residents not having to travel far when they need medical assistance,” Mr Battin said.
The practice is now seeing patients and can be contacted on 9044 0750.
