An eye in the sky

Don’t be alarmed if you see tiny helicopters flying over the footy this year - it’s not the fuzz out to get you. HAMPTON PARK and DOVETON split the costs to hire a drone - a helicopter-mounted camera - to film their SEFNL opening-round clash from the skies above Robert Booth Reserve on Good Friday. Soaring at least 20-30 metres above the field, the view would have been fantastic however the whirring blades chopped up the usually sedate football soundscape. Whether it’s a legitimate football videography tool or a one-off novelty… we’ll have to wait for the video replay. 137227 Picture: JARROD POTTER
