THERE may be empty cash registers around, but long-term customers seem to queue up behind Heather Stephens’ register in search for service with a smile.
Woolworths Pakenham cashier and direct line manager Heather Stephens celebrated 40 years with the company last week.
Customer Service manager Tracey Mapleson said the committed employee who had worked at the Pakenham store for five years is well-sought after by customers.
“Every customer who walks in knows who she is and she knows them and is always asking about them.
“She’s an amazing, beautiful woman.
“When she’s on registers, she will have a big line of customers waiting to chat with her … some won’t go through other lines.”
Heather’s milestone anniversary was celebrated at the store on Thursday 9 April in the company of friends and colleagues.
