SIXTY-FOUR residents were inducted as Australian citizens last week, including one of the Gazette’s own.
Mum’s Page editor Lia Spencer officially took on the Aussie title at the citizenship ceremony in Pakenham on Tuesday 26 January.
“I woke up a Canadian and will go to sleep a Canaussie. I’m incredibly lucky to be a citizen of the best two countries in the world. Thanks for accepting me Australia,” she wrote on Facebook.
The proud mum celebrated the occasion with friends and family including husband Michael and daughter Isla.
