TWO offenders charged into a Beaconsfield house, stealing keys to a Range Rover and driving it away into the distance.
Three people were inside the O’Neil Road home when it was invaded by the offenders about 7.30pm on Sunday 5 August.
Southern Metropolitan Region Crime Team Detective Senior Constable Justin O’Brien said the offenders got inside the home via an unlocked door, stealing the keys to the white Range Rover registration ZRF096.
The car is yet to be located.
The investigation is ongoing.
Days earlier, police responded to another car theft in Beaconsfield where an offender got hold of the keys by invading the owners’ home.
The offender entered the Brookvale Close home between 11pm on Wednesday 31 August and 5.45am on Thursday 1 September, stealing keys to a Mazda utility registration 1HQ1WS.
Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) Detective Sergeant Duane McDonald said the first the car owner knew of the incident was when they heard the car leaving their property.
It is also yet to be recovered.
A Nissan Pulsar was stolen from a Belvedere Drive home in Pakenham the same night.
It was recovered by police about 2pm on Thursday 1 September.
