A TEENAGE pedestrian has been punched in the face and verbally assaulted by an agro driver passing through Officer.
Police are searching for the assailant who also smashed the 18 year old Officer man’s phone as a result of the spat outside of Arena Shopping Centre in Officer about 8.30pm on Thursday 27 October.
The assault took place in a nearby residential zone in Curran Drive.
The victim told police the driver had a number of people in his white utility when the argument broke out.
Police understand the driver got out of the car and began verbally assaulting the teen before grabbing his phone throwing it to the ground.
The offender then punched the teen in the face.
The victim did not provide a description of the offender to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
