A GANG of men is on the run after bursting into a Pakenham home and threatening a pair of young victims, before taking off with a boot full of stolen goods.
Police said the victims – a male and female aged in their twenties – tried to resist the gang as they pushed their way into the home, causing the male gang to become aggressive and threatening.
At about 10.30am on Saturday 10 December, the gang knocked on the front door of the couple’s Hawk Avenue, Pakenham home.
When they opened the door, the men barged in and made demands for cash and mobile phones.
Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) Detective Sergeant Phil Jury said the pair tried to resist the gang’s demands, sparking verbal abuse and threats.
The offenders then filled a car full of items stolen from the garage, before leaving.
Police have described all men as of Pacific Islander appearance.
One man was 180cm tall, of medium build with bad teeth, wearing dark sunglasses with the hood of his jumper pulled up over his head.
Another offender was 180cm tall, of thin build, wearing sunglasses and a red and green Jamaican style hoodie.
A third man was described as being chubby with short black hair.
