Round nine of the South West Gippsland Dart League anointed a new exclusive club of seven tonners as three competition heavyweights threw sensational games on Tuesday night.

Two of the league’s shining lights in Dean from Snipers and Steve from Predators were joined by Steve’s Predators teammate, Jordan, in seventh heaven as both sides recorded comfortable, near shut-out wins.

Predators gave an indication as to the gap between the top of the field and the middle of the table with a crushing 14-1 win over eighth-placed 26ers and Snipers continued to heap pain on the winless Dart Attack with a decisive 13-2 result.

Mud Rats saluted in an eight-point game over Just Social, its third win in a row, to move into outright fourth on the table, while 10th placed Railway upset sixth placed Dart Vaders in an 8-7 thriller.

Fore, meanwhile, consigned Hoodies to its second scoreless game of the season.

Snipers and Just Social will come face-to-face in round 10 for the first time since last season’s grand final, when Snipers upset the defending champions 8-5.
