FIVE Pakenham primary school students were announced as finalists of a White Ribbon T-shirt design competition.
The designs of Pakenham Hills Primary School students Seth, Jane, Anastasia, Ciara and Alirra included signs of peace, White Ribbon logos and the words ’Stop family violence’.
Primary school students across Cardinia Shire were asked to design a T-shirt that helped spread the White Ribbon in edging closer towards bringing an end to family violence.
Entries were judged by the Pakenham Police Family Violence unit.
The five Pakenham Hills winners were presented their prizes at a school assembly on Friday 9 December.
The Cardinia Family Violence Network holds a competition for school children to coincide with White Ribbon Day every year to raise awareness of family violence, and stimulate conversations about how the community can support victims and prevent violence.
T-shirt designs will be displayed at Pakenham and Emerald libraries.
