Nar Nar Goon’s pint-sized footy superstar says she would invite Carlton Football Club’s entire roster to a party at her house if she is crowned Auskicker of the Year.

Georgia Coombes was announced as the AFL’s 17th weekly nominee for the title, appearing on Channel Seven’s live broadcast of Carlton vs St Kilda in an interview with Cameron Ling.

She was featured in her application video performing a cartwheel before launching into a goal.

Stunningly, it was only Georgia’s first year competing in Auskick.

She was ecstatic to receive the nomination.

“It’s very exciting – a once-in-a-lifetime moment,” Georgia told the Gazette.

“I love kicking goals but most of all I love the mighty blues.”

During her interview with Mr Ling, she said she would buy a brand new pair of pink footy boots if she claimed the competition’s top gong – a $5000 cheque.

Budding footy fanatics have also been put on notice, with Georgia announcing she will enter under 10’s junior football competition next year.“I can’t wait to start next year,” she said.

A love of footy runs in Georgia’s family, with predominantly Carlton-aligned siblings and parents who take her to games.

Her mother, Ally Coombes, was extremely proud of Georgia’s achievement.

“We were really surprised but we’re so proud,” she said.

“We decided to do a quick video and a few weeks later we got the phone call that she’d been selected.”

As a nominee, Georgia will be treated to a three-day stay in Melbourne’s CBD during Grand Final weekend, where she will attend an Auskick ball and play on-ground during the big game’s half time event.
