Boys vandalise vacant home

A RECENTLY vacated home in Pakenham was the site of youthful vandalism last week.

Late on Friday 21 November, a Wakenshaw Crescent home in Pakenham was broken into by young boys who caused “extensive damage” to the empty house.
Police said several holes were left in the walls which were also defaced with graffiti.
Statue spirited away
A LARGE spiritual statue was stolen from an Indian restaurant in Pakenham over the weekend.
Between 3pm – 5pm on Sunday 23 November, a 1.7 metre “spirited lady” statue was stolen from Shavans Indian Restaurant in Lakeside Boulevard.
CCTV footage indicates that several boys aged in their late teens to early 20s are likely to have stolen the statue.
My Place broken into
A COUNCIL youth facility in Pakenham was broken into over the weekend.
The front door of My Place on Main Street in Pakenham was smashed open in the early hours of Sunday 23 November by offenders attempting to steal a stereo.
Police said the thieves fled when security officers arrived at the scene.
Ute stolen from driveway
A CAR was stolen from the owner’s property in Officer last week.
A white Falcon Utility was taken from the owner’s Bellerive Avenue home in Officer before midnight on Monday 17 November.
The ute, with registration number ZMB454, was taken from the owner’s driveway and is yet to be found.
Police said the car had a noticeable white “K” sticker on its rear passenger window.
Home break-in
A HOME in Pakenham was ransacked over the weekend.
Between 9pm on Saturday 23 Nov and 6.20am on Sunday, thieves broke into an Iris Place home in Pakenham via an ensuite window.
Police said a wide range of computer equipment was stolen.
Unsporty theft of equipment
SPORTING equipment has been stolen from a Pakenham property.
Thieves broke into a Henry Lawson home between 11.30pm on Saturday 22 November and 8am on Sunday 23 November and stole a Giant branded mountain bike.
