A Lang Lang woman said her heart “needed to be restarted” after she stumbled across two bags which appeared to be filled with fake dismembered body parts.

Payton Morley was walking her dog through Lang Lang’s Summerfields Estate at about 4.30pm on Wednesday 23 September when she made the gruesome discovery.

She said she first noticed a “big pile of rubbish”, which wasn’t uncommon in the area.

A Lang Lang woman said her heart “needed to be restarted” after she stumbled across a disturbing find during her daily exercise.

On further inspection, Ms Morley noticed two bags, which appeared to be filled with questionable yet realistic body parts that had been cut up.

“I first saw it from a distance and I thought it must be a dead body because the dog was sniffing and trying to lick it,” she explained.

“He immediately went for the bag with the hand it … I called him away and my heart sank because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

“I got closer and saw the other bag with the other limbs in it and I was like ‘OMG this is a cut up body’.”

Ms Morley was able to quickly ascertain that the questionable body parts were in fact fake.

“I realised there was no bone or blood, and it looked like rubber. I was fine once I realised it was fake,” she said.

“It’s a pretty messed up thing for someone to do. People either think it’s hilarious or absolutely disgusting.

“It was the weirdest thing that has happened since moving to Lang Lang. Here we were expecting nothing like that to happen in such a small quiet town.”

The incident has been reported to Victoria Police.
