LADIES
Drouin Ladies competed for the April Monthly Medal in a Stroke event on Tuesday 5 April.
A Grade winner was Leanne Pollard (12) with 72 net and runner up was Sharon Rippon (18) with 76 net.
B Grade winner was Mary Tymensen (29) with 74 net and runner up was Ethel Manley (31) also on 74 net on a countback.
Down the line balls went to: Jeanette Phillips 77 net, Glenda Warren 77 net, Valerie Crow 78 net and Judy Dixon 79 net.
April Monthly Medal winner was Leanne Pollard who also had the best scratch score with 84 off the stick.
Nearest the pins were: 5th Leanne Pollard, 8th no one, 10th Dagma Forbes, 14th Shirley Roberts.
Saturday’s Ladies played a Par event and the winner was Deb Daniel (27) on +2, with Marg Purcell (15) on + 1 on a countback from Robyn O’Brien also on +1.
Today is the Grandmother’s Trophy event, kindly sponsored by Leanne Pollard. Entries are now open for the Drouin Golf and Country Club Annual Tournament, generously sponsored by Clarks Blinds and Screens, to be held from Wednesday 20 April to Monday 25 April.
Entries are available at the club.
Wednesday is a Stroke event for both Men and Ladies, Thursday is a 4BBB, Saturday Men’s event and Monday 25 is a Mixed event.
On Tuesday, Drouin Ladies were able to present Angus Ginters from West Gippsland Hospital’s Palliative Care unit with a cheque for $1500.
These funds were raised through the club’s Charity Day held in December last year.
